I’m Dilara. I have graduated from Computer Engineering Department of Bogazici University, Turkey in June 2012 and completed my Masters of Entertainment Technology studies at Carnegie Mellon University’s Entertainment Technology Center in May 2014.
When I was a kid, I was good at breaking down computers, game consoles, any kind of electronic devices that one can imagine. I believe I have a super power, a special aura that lets me do that without a single touch, just by a glance.
When I have chosen to study Computer Engineering, people around me thought that it would be so ironic. Well, we made an alliance with my computer and it survived till now.
I am into Robotics and Game Development. While I was studying in Bogazici, I was a member of my university’s Robotics soccer team; Cerberus. We were competing in Standard Platform League of RoboCup International Competitions. My interest for robotics will last forever but my studies did as I have delved into my childhood dream subject.
I studied in Carnegie Mellon’s Entertainment Technology Center and worked on awesome projects with awesome people. I have always been interested in games; console games, PC games, card games, backyard games, any of them! However while some people say that life is unendurable without games, I do not think so. I see them like the ice-cream topping to my favourite dessert! They make me feel happy. That is the reason why I want to become one of those guys that create these master pieces to make people happy.
Go after your dreams everyone!
Cheers,
Dilara
